Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training

This is the latest “in service” teaching qualification and replaced CTLLS on 1st October 2013. If you wish to work as a teacher in post 16 education such as adult learning, further, and higher education. Then you will need a formal teaching qualification. Achieve the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training online course.

Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training meets the government requirements for teachers, tutors, and trainers in the Associate Teacher role as the suitable qualification. The Associate Teacher role is defined as having less teaching responsibilities than the full teaching role. However, the quality of teaching is expected to be of an equally high standard.

Completing the Level 4 Certificate is a good way to progress to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training which will give you Qualified Teacher Learning Skills Status (QTLS) which is seen as the equivalent to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), although as of September 2012 it is still offered by the IfL but no longer required.
